Game On

Alright, I've got mine ordered and in the mail. So if anyone is around the I.C. area they can borrow it when I'm done. Also, I feel like I'm already abusing this service, Kevin really shouldn't have given me permission. Perhaps a post per day quota should be enforced, these type of things can get out of hand.

Membership fees

Boy am I excited for this. I have been paying the weekly subscription fee for several months now, but that is cool. Now on to some reading. I looked around and think this is going to be one of those amazon type purchases. I highly recommend the leather bound version

But for most the basic will suffice

-Built in spell check, awesome! Hey I think I'm getting the hang of this.

Tell me now, what is the best way to get this book. Will the local Washington Public Library have "The Watchman," or is this an amazon.com type purchase?

Velkommen

Alright, the blog is ready to go. So it took a couple months, no big deal. I think this whole thing might work pretty well. Everyone seemed excited about the idea when I've mentioned it to them, so let's do it.

The Watchmen (See Below) looks like a sweet book. Miss Pins has been recommending it to me for a while and it seems to be on a lot of "important" lists, so I can't wait.

PLUS, it's a big comic book with lots of pictures so I can follow whats happening. I have to take it easy though, otherwise I might revert back to the glory days of Comic World. Dust off the magic cards and 20 sided dice, put on a black t-shirt and a wallet chain, and forsake all feminine attention because we are having a Magic party!! My Black Lotus is gonna own your ass! Woo!

Wow. Looking back, I was lucky I got the hell out of there before I got an earring or a dragon tattooed on my forearm.

Anyway. Couple features I would like to point out: 1. Though some people wouldn't allow me to dedicate this space to him, Brett Favre will still hold a place of honor in this blog. You have obviously noticed the image of the greatest QB-of-all-time above. Brett will be updating his reading corner with tips and profound thoughts as he has time throughout the season. Enjoy them.
2. Since almost all of us are connected through Iowa City, I found some sweet pics of I.C. from way back, and I will be putting them up. The one at the top is campus in 1923.

Danke schön
